The Nebraska Game & Parks Commission in conjunction with Fulbright's EcoLeadership Program, is pleased to announce an educator workshop focusing on bats. The workshop will educate teachers about bats - their natural history, importance in the ecosystem and how to help in their conservation.
Additionally, teacher will learn how to incorporate the study of bats into their science curriculum. Each participant will receive several educational resources including the Discover Bats! Educator Guide, a bat identification book, a bat-related literature book and a bat house to facilitate in depth study of the bats of Nebraska.
These workshops are open to formal and non-formal K-12 grade educators in Nebraska. Workshops are free, but limited to 20 participants, and pre-registration is required.
