Dec 30 Bird Walk at Homestead National Monument of America |
Spend Your Holiday with the Birds at
Homestead National Monument of America
Join Natural Resource Specialist Jesse Bolli on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 as he explores the trails of Homestead to discover which of our feathered friends spend the holidays at Homestead. The bird walk will start at 10 a.m. at the Education Center; cookies and coffee will be available starting at 9:30 a.m.
“This event will be a great way for you to get out of the house and burn off some of the extra goodies that were consumed over holidays and learn about the birds that call Homestead home during the winter months,’ stated Park Superintendent Mark Engler. Dress warm and bring your favorite binoculars.
Remember Homestead National Monument of America has an exciting schedule of events planned for 2015. Keep up with the latest information by following us on Twitter (HomesteadNM) and Facebook (Homestead National Monument of America).
Homestead National Monument of America is a unit of the National Park Service located four miles west of Beatrice, Nebraska. Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free of charge. For additional information, please call 402-223-3514 or visit http://www.nps.gov/home/index.htm.
