DESCRIPTION:Create your own barn quilt at Homestead Workshop\n\n\n\nThe Friends of Homestead is hosting a Barn Quilt Workshop on Thursday\, August 14\, 2014 from 1 - 4 pm at Homestead National Monument of America's Education Center.  This workshop is open to everyone and will be led by Kay McKinzie.\n\n\n\nParticipants will get everything they need to to compete a barn quilt to hang on a building or post in a yard.  \n\n\n\nAlong with instructions\, participants will receive a primed board to pencil on a pattern\, tape off the pattern and paint the first color.\n\n\n\nThey will leave with the rest of the paint and brushes needed to compete their project.  Pre-registration is required with Tammy Weers at First National Bank of Omaha at 402-228-4241.  There is a $30 supply fee payable to Friends of Homestead with the registration form.\n\n\n\nwww.nps.gov/home
