DESCRIPTION:Library history combines in Peter Fletcher's classical guitar concert funded by the Beatrice Public Library Foundation\, to be held Tuesday\, October 14 at 7 pm at the Carnegie Building\, 218 N 5th Street\, Beatrice.  \n\n\n\nhttp://www.peterfletcher.com/index.html\n\n\n\nAccording to Library Director\, Laureen Riedesel\, the Carnegie Building had been booked several months ago as an alternate location for the event.  "Although the Library renovation might have been completed by this time\, that was the most optimistic estimate made before any of the work had actually begun.  We are actually excited about this opportunity because of the incredible acoustics at the Carnegie Building\, a problem for a library\, but an asset for a concert venue."  Riedesel also noted that this event fits the Cultural Center purpose of the building\, a requirement of the 2010 Department of Economic Development grant used to help fund the Carnegie renovation.\n\n\n\nThis concert is part of a nationwide tour to introduce works on Peter Fletcher's new "Edvard Grieg" CD released in February.
