SUMMARY:League Cycling Instructor Training
DESCRIPTION:Public Health Solutions is seeking individuals to become Certified League Cycling Instructors (LCI).  A League Cycling Instructor is certified to teach the Smart Cycling classes to children and adults.  Their goal is to help people feel more secure about getting on a bike\, to create a mindset that bikes are treated as a vehicle\, and to ensure that people on bikes know how to ride safely and legally.\n\n\n\nThe training will be hosted in Beatrice May 30 - June 1\; it's a 32 hour seminar that will be Friday night\, all day Saturday & Sunday.  A pre-requisite to this certification training is Traffic Skills 101\, which is an on-line course that can be taken before the full training.  Grant funds will cover all registration (normally $300)\, mileage\, and meals.\n\n\n\nThe goal is to have instructors to host fall and spring bike safety classes for elementary and middle school students in Crete and Beatrice.  \n\n\n\nFor more information\, contact Natalie Kingston\, Public Health Solutions District Health Development\, 402-826-6686.
