DESCRIPTION:A observance of Martin Luther King\, Jr. Day is being sponsored by the Evangelism and Nurture Teams of Centenary United Methodist Church\, 608 Elk Street\, Beatrice\, on Sunday\, January 18.  A soup dinner will be served at noon in the church dining room\, with a freewill offering for UMCOR's Refugee Assistance Fund.\n\n\n\nAt 1 pm\, a program on the Yazidi refugees in Iraq will be presented by Dough Hardt\, Director of the Center for Interfaith Studies and Culture of Union College\, Lincoln.  The public is invited to attend.
