Join her at Homestead National Monument of America's Education Center on Sunday\, December 14\, 2014 at 2 p.m.  \n\n \n\nMcAlister is a renowned researcher on Scottish traditions. Last year she spent a month in Scotland participating in the holiday festivities\, and looks forward to sharing her experiences with the public along with beautiful images of Scotland. She will present an overview of her 42 day visit set to music along with information about the winter customs.\n\n \n\n"We hope you will include the monument in your Holiday plans and to learn more about the Scottish culture\," stated Superintendent Mark Engler.\n\n \n\nThe Winter Festival of Prairie Cultures exhibits will be on display in both the Education and Heritage Centers from November 28 to December 31\, 2014.  These exhibits represent the many cultures who settled on the prairie as a result of the Homestead Act.\n\n \n\nRemember\, Homestead National Monument of America has an exciting schedule of events planned for 2015.
