SUMMARY:Singing Youth of Nebraska Festival Choir
DESCRIPTION:The public is invited to attend the semi-annual "Singing Youth of Nebraska" Festival Choir performances\, sponsored by the Nebraska Choral Director's Association.\n\n\n\nSeven sites across Nebraska will host the choirs throughout the months of January and February.  Students in grades 7 - 9 are nominated for the event by their vocal music director.  They will rehearse choral music throughout the day and will present a concert on January 24 at 4 pm in the Hevelone Center\, under the direction of Nathan Helzer of Omaha.\n\n\n\nMore than 650 students will perform at seven sites across the state.  The public is invited to attend the performance\; admission is $3 for anyone over the age of 12.\n\n\n\nParticipating schools at the Beatrice site include Tri County\, Johnson County Central\, Fairbury\, Crete\, Syracuse\, Lincoln Southeast\, Wilber-Clatonia\, Meridian\, Pawnee City\, Nebraska City\, and Beatrice.\n\n\n\nThe Nebraska Choral Directors Association was founding in 1962\, just three years after our parent organization\, the American Choral Directors Association.
