DESCRIPTION:Steele Flats Wind Energy Center to be Dedicated\n\n\n\nNextEra Energy will be hosting a special dedication event for the Steele Flats Wind Energy Center near Diller at 1 pm on Thursday\, June 19.  The event will be preceded by a luncheon for local landowners\, local elected and appointed officials\, and representatives of NextEra Energy\, which owns and operates the site\, Nebraska Public Power District\, which is purchasing the electricity from the wind farm\, and Becton\, Dickinson Company (BD)\, which is buying the renewable energy credits from the facility for their Columbus and Holdrege operations and to meet their global initiatives.\n\n\n\nFeatured speakers beginning at 1 pm include:\n\nGovernor Dave Heineman\n\nPat Pop\, president and Chief Executive Officer\, Nebraska Public Power District\n\nStephen Sichak\, Senior Vice President\, Integrated Supply Chain\, Becton\, Dickinson and Company\n\nMark Tourangeau\, Vice President\, Business development - South region\, NexEra Energy Resources\, Inc.\n\n\n\nThere will be media availability after the event is completed.  \n\n\n\nParking is limited at the wind farm location\, 70548 580th Ave\, Diller.
