In May 2008 Ron Miller of Miller Printery donated an antique printing press to the DeWitt Museum with the stipulation that he would demonstrate the operation of the press on special occasions. This year that demonstration will be held on Saturday June 30th. The DeWitt Museum will open at 10:00 AM with the first demonstration beginning at 12:00 noon. Free admission - open to the general public. Ron will be assisted this year by his younger brother Preston Miller. There will be explanations of the operations of the printing press along with stories of the history dating back to before the turn of the 20th Century. This particular printing press was in the Miller Family since 1939 when Miller Printery was first started by our grandfather Fred Miller. The business was closed in 2008 when Ron retired. Hope to see you all there.
