Discover Beatrice history by the light of a lantern on Thursday, March 7, by attending the Historic Downtown Alley Lantern Tour. This tour will feature some of the most historic and original architecture in downtown Beatrice by exploring areas typically not seen- they alleys.
The tour will begin at 7 p.m. at the historic Carnegie building at 218 N. 5th St. During the tour, stops will be made at local businesses along the route for hot beverages. Along the way, participants will have the opportunity to see original architecture dating back to 1870. This architecture tells the story of the growth and development of the downtown, as well as the sophistication of even the earliest stone and brick buildings.
