First annual Derby Day event aims to raise awareness of Williams Sundrome. The DeWitt Derby will feature a horse and hat making station in honor of Kentucky Derby. Race car drivers will be present to meet with those in attendence. Multiple vendors from across Lincoln and Omaha will give away small gifts and provide information on the services they offer. The derby will offer to contribute to Williams Syndrome research. A silent auction will also auction off Husker memorabilia, including signed footballs, jerseys and posters; NFL memorabilia; Kansas Jayhawk memorabilia; restaurant gift cards, hotel stays; limousine rides; mall gift cards and services from salons, therapy clinics and auto shops.
