Homestead National Monument of America will be 75 years old on Saturday, March 19. Homestead invites the public to celebrate with us, beginning with ranger-guided prairie hikes that will start at the Education Center at both
Journey of the monument's 75 year history at the Education center at 1 p.m.
Former Nebraska Senator David Landis will speak at 2 p.m. about Senator George Norris, who was the Father of Homestead National Monument and spearheaded the movement to make Daniel Freeman's homestead a National Park Service site.
Please, dress accordingly, as the morning programs will be held outdoors, weather permitting. All programs and refreshments are free of charge.
