Parents and grandparents bring your children or grandchildren to Homestead National Monument of America to become Junior Rangers during the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, Friday, November 26 through Sunday, November 28. New this year is a Junior Ranger Archeology booklet.
Youth can learn more about archeology at Homestead National Monument of America as well as other sites throughout the Midwest completing the new ?Junior Ranger Archeology? booklet. This booklet was created by the National Park Service Midwest Archeological Center. Also, learn more about various sites across the State of Nebraska through the ?Nebraska Treasures? activity book. Experience the Homestead Heritage Center by completing activities in this free booklet. All children completing the activities will receive a Junior Ranger Badge. Activities found in the booklet include word searches, dot-to-dots, matching activities and historic ?rebus writing.? The booklet is also suitable for coloring. Children are encouraged to find answers to the activities by searching the museum and monument grounds. The activities are self and adult guided, but Park Rangers will be available for assistance.
