Wind Energy Meeting

Some landowners along Highway 136 between Beatrice and Jansen have been contacted about wind easement contracts.

To provide them with information concerning easement and wind development issues, University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension has scheduled an information meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the Gage County Extension Office.

Presentations planned include Extension Educator John Hay, who has statewide responsibilities for energy education and has conducted workshops across the state, and Saline County Extension Educator Randy Pryor, who has done background educational work for the Saline development site and toured a number of developments.

Landowners in Saline County formed the Saline County Wind Association and a board member will share information about their approach.

“I have organized this information meeting to assist land owners in decisions they will need to make regarding potential wind development contracts,” said Gage County Extension Educator Paul Hay. “It is open to all interested persons.”
