Foster Care Specialist
The Foster Care Specialist works with the State of Nebraska to place children in safe, supportive homes while helping them maintain connections with their biological families. This role provides case management, support services, and advocacy for children and families. Specialists build strong relationships with foster parents, children, and biological families to promote stability and long-term success. Responsibilities include home visits, service planning, documentation, and collaborating with schools, therapists, and other professionals. Specialists also support foster parents through training and monitoring, respond to crises, and ensure compliance with state standards. A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field is required, along with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
